Our country now faces more repercussions of a racial injustice that has pervaded our society for generations. Breonna Taylor & George Floyd were murdered by those sworn to protect us - acts that have sparked appropriate anger and outrage. Black Americans have been victimized for hundreds of years in a country that is supposed to be built on the pillars of freedom and social justice. Our state and national leadership has proven itself to be useless as it further perpetuates hostility. There is much work to be done and we cannot sit on the sidelines and do nothing.
Troy Web Consulting will continue to do our best to eliminate racism and I am sure there is more we can do. We will look at every possible way in which we can better ourselves as a team to be more active in eliminating systemic racism.
Troy Web Consulting will be donating $1,000 to the YWCA of the Greater Capital Region, an organization we have held near and dear for nearly a decade. As many of you know, their mission is to promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. This is needed now more than ever.
Additionally, we will be donating $1,000 to the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund to help them in ongoing legal battles to fight racial injustice.

There’s nothing easy about any of this. Many of us may be angry, afraid, concerned, worried, ... First and foremost, please take precautions to be safe. Today, I am asking you all to remember our core value of kindness - compassion, love, and generosity - and to act in a way in which you feel most comfortable. If you wish to take to the streets to fight hatred and oppression, do so with kindness. If you wish to help others in need, do so with an open heart. If you wish to seek understanding, listen with compassion, and act with love.
